Reflection For EDET week 4

Goals: To have a complete  review of class work.

Task:  Analyzing the audience (the learners) by using the ASSURE model lesson planning.

Steps:  Understanding the assure model.  It can be broken down in 6 components

1. State objectives - To analyze learners - may be to have a pre-test of a learning style survey, or evaluating demographics.

2.  Select media and materials - The objectives needs to be specific and measurable.  They outline the intended outcomes and expectations.   

3. Utilize media and materials - This step helps prepare the media by following the 5p's: 
Prepare the materials
Preview the materials
Prepare the environment
Prepare the learners
Provide the learning experiences

4.  Require learner participation - This is what the student will e learning and how the student will work in an group or alone, Work on a project or listen to a teacher.

5.  Evaluation and revise- One of the most important components.  Teachers reflect on the lesson.  The assured model helps teachers to select the correct technology to apply to the lesson.  It also helps teachers to be more aware of the learning style of the students.

6.  Analyze Learners




Challenges faced:  The challenges faced were pertaining to technical difficulties with the computer.

What I learnt:  The Assured lesson plan is a way of making the learning environment and working conditions for students easier.

How I will use this in the class room:  the assured model will allow teachers an easier way to create an accurate lesson plan.
