Reflections for EDET week 2

Goal:  To have a complete review of homework and class sessions.

Week 2:  Introduction to the  internet and issues in media technology.

Task:  Read chapter 1 and 3 of technology in education work book by Ms. Richardson.
           The role of technology and media.
           Computer basics
           Storage devices.

  Creating classroom rules specific to IT class:
                 Raise hand to indicate answering questions to create order.
                 Respect instructor, classmates opinion and property.
                 Ear only in the cafeteria.
                 Always be punctual
                 Always be prepared for class.
                                                   

What  is creating a signature?

A signature is used to provide the recipient with your name, email address, business contact information.

                              
Adding a signature on an email.

Go to settings
Scroll down until signature is seen.
Select signature.
Type designated signature e.g  Address, famous quote or song
Add ok

Example of some storage devices.

• Floppy disk
• (CD) disc compact
• flash drive
• SD card
• USB pen drive

                                                         

Challenges faced: While completing tasks:  Learning how to apply a signature was a new application for me and so that made it a bit difficult to follow the steps.

How I will use this in the class room:  Creating classroom rules are important.  This is so because students will have a guide to know what is expected of them.
